To confirm your order was placed, check your email for an automated confirmation that your order was received. The email may appear in your junk/spam folder as a result of your email settings. If you do not receive the order confirmation email, it is possible that your order did not go through, or you may have entered an incorrect email address. We charge sales tax in Illinois and Indiana. IL orders will be charged 9% sales tax and IN orders will be charged 7% sale tax.
On bellacosajewelers.com we use the industry standard for secure online transactions, to encrypt your personal credit information, including your credit card number before it travels over the internet. As a result of our use of this technology, placing an order with Bella Cosa Jewelers online is just as safe as providing your credit card number over the phone. In the unlikely event of credit card fraud, we will work with your credit card company to resolve the issue. Typically, credit card holders are not responsible for any fraudulent charges.
Currently, our shipping area includes the Continental US, Alaska, and Hawaii. We do not ship international orders.
It varies by manufactures and normally takes about 2 to 4 weeks, however, it can take anywhere from 1 week to 8 weeks. When you place a special order from Bella Cosa Jewelers we will give you an estimated ship date.
If you registered an account on our old website, you can check your order status or history by logging in to your account. If you did not register an account on our old website, you will not be able to get access to your order status or history on our new website. A special order constitutes any item specially ordered, custom-made, engraved or altered at the customer’s request. Items marked with "Special Order" need to be ordered and may not be returned or exchanged.

Credit card orders can be placed online using our secure server or over the phone with our Customer Service Department.
Many customers purchasing items valued over $1,000 prefer paying by bank wire. Bank wire orders receive a 2% discount from our listed price. Yes, we accept international credit cards with a billing address outside of the U.S. as long as you provide a valid U.S. shipping address.
We’ll first authorize your credit card to make sure there is sufficient credit available at the time of purchase. A hold will be placed on your card for an amount equal to your order until your order has shipped. Special orders will be charged when the order is accepted.
Yes. Bank wire can be used to pay for purchases. Bella Cosa Jewelers applies a 2% discount to your order when you use a bank wire. Please note: some financial institutions charge a fee for using a bank wire. Please contact us and we will provide the necessary account information to successfully transfer funds from your account into a Bella Cosa account.
A bank wire may take the bank up to two business days to process, so we will keep your order here for those two business days. Once your bank has transferred the funds, Bella Cosa will be notified and your purchase will be shipped. If you have any questions about the steps involved in a bank wire, contact your bank or call Bella Cosa Jewelers Customer Service at +1888-632-3552.
If your order has failed but it appears that the money has already been taken from your account you may be experiencing an "amount pending".
When placing an online order, your bank immediately puts a hold on the funds for us to capture during order processing. During order processing, if the information provided during checkout does not match the information on the credit card being used, the funds captured will be denied and the order will not be processed. When the transaction fails we do not receive the money. Since the transaction failed, this amount will not be taken from your account and will be reset by your bank or card issuer.
Your bank may hold the funds as unavailable until the authorization/hold expires. This hold will typically drop off in 3-5 business days. Please contact your bank if you have any further questions regarding fund holds.
SHIPPING & RETURNS - FAQS
When the order is placed a confirmation email will be sent to you. You will receive an additional email when the item(s) is shipped and your credit card is charged. This email will contain a tracking number so you can follow your package. You can also track your order status by clicking on Order Status in the footer section.
We ship all orders via United States Postal Service. Orders placed before 12:00 p.m. (Central), Monday through Friday, will be shipped the same business day. After 12:00 p.m. (Central) orders are subject to be shipped the following business day. Orders placed after 2:00 p.m. (Central) on Fridays will be shipped the following Monday. Bella Cosa Jewelers offers FREE US Postal Service First Class mail on all orders. It will usually arrive within 3 to 5 business days. Expedited shipping is available via US Postal Service Priority Mail for an additional $9.95 or Express Mail for an additional $25.95. To ensure your complete satisfaction with Bella Cosa Jewelers, articles in original condition may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of the delivery date. Special order items, items altered at the customer’s request, and sale items are not returnable. Refunds are issued only to the purchaser in accordance with the original method of payment. Articles ordered at our Willowbrook or Wilmette location may be returned or exchanged within 30 days.

Your return will be processed within 1-2 business days after it's been delivered. You will receive an email confirmation when the return is processed.
Yes. Our shipments are fully insured during transit.
The expected delivery time for First Class mail is 3 to 5 business days. Orders placed after 5 pm on Fridays will be shipped the following Monday. Under most circumstances, your order will be delivered within 3 to 5 days. However, there might be unexpected delays due to circumstances beyond our control. If you haven't received your order after five business days, please Contact Us and we will help you to locate your order.

Conflict-free diamonds are diamonds that were not obtained due to human rights abuses, child labor, violence, or environmental degradation.

We only purchase polished diamonds from professional members of the diamond trade who have certified that their diamonds are conflict-free. When you shop at Bella Cosa Jewelers, you can be certain that your diamonds are coming from the most reputable sources.
All diamonds we sell on our website come with a GIA report. Once your beautiful diamond is in-hand, you may have it examined by a qualified gemologist or an independent appraiser to confirm it matches the GIA report.

If an item is listed on our website with a "Ships in 24 hours" flag, it is almost certainly in stock. We update our website inventory on a daily basis. However, there is a small chance that an item sells at our store and isn't removed from our website immediately. In the unlikely event that we are unable to fulfill an order, your credit card will not be charged and we will notify you as soon as possible. If an item is listed on our website with a "Special Order" flag, we either have a sample at one of our locations or do not have it in stock. Items marked with a "Special Order" flag need to be ordered and may take longer to ship.

Sterling silver does tarnish over time. When silver is exposed to air for long periods of time it can start to change its color. The amount of tarnishing that occurs is dependent on the skin and care habits of the wearer.
While tarnishing cannot be prevented, the process can be slowed down. We recommend that customers remove jewelry before going to bed or when performing vigorous activities such as manual labor, sport, cleaning, etc. Store jewelry in an airtight bag or with an anti-tarnishing paper tab can also slow down the process. Tarnished silver can be cleaned with a polishing cloth or soapy water and a toothbrush. You are also welcome to bring your jewelry to us for a free checking and cleaning. The staff at Bella Cosa Jewelers is happy to clean your jewelry free of charge, whether you purchase your jewelry from us or not.
Yes, to some extent. Since 18K white gold is actually 75% pure yellow gold, the jewelry must be rhodium plated. Rhodium plating is standard for all white gold jewelry and gives the item a pure white brilliance and luster. In time, however, the plating tends to wear thin, showing the natural color of the white gold beneath. Vigorous cleaning of the ring (such as with a toothbrush) can accelerate the process. Bella Cosa Jewelers offers free rhodium plating on all white gold jewelry purchased from us.
Yes we do. Whether you purchased your jewelry from us or not, you are more than welcome to have your jewelry inspected and cleaned FREE of charge. Moreover, if you purchased your pieces from Bella Cosa Jewelers, we will polish your jewelry for FREE, up to one time per year, for as long as you own it. A maintenance polish will give your piece of jewelry that new look again.
We recommend everyone to have your jewelry inspected every 6 months to catch any loose prongs, worn mountings, and general wear and tear. Of course, we do not charge for basic jewelry clean and inspection.
