Orders

How do I know that my order was successfully placed?

To confirm your order was placed, check your email for an automated confirmation that your order was received. The email may appear in your junk/spam folder as a result of your email settings. If you do not receive the order confirmation email, it is possible that your order did not go through, or you may have entered an incorrect email address. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding your order.

Will you charge sales tax on my order?

Tax will be calculated at time of checkout, and is based on where your order will be shipped to. www.bellacosajewelers.com does not collect sales tax except in Illinois and Indiana. Any items shipped to an address in Illinois will be charged 8% sales tax and items shipped to Indiana will be charged 7% sales tax.

Bella Cosa Jewelers uses Symantec® and Veratad Technology to protect your credit card and other confidential information. We have taken measures to insure that shopping on the Bella Cosa Jewelers website is a safe and enjoyable experience for our valued customers.

On bellacosajewelers.com we use the industry standard for secure online transactions, to encrypt your personal credit information, including your credit card number, before it travels over the internet. As a result of our use of this technology, placing an order with Bella Cosa Jewelers online is just as safe as providing your credit card number over the phone. In the unlikely event of credit card fraud, we will work with your credit card company to resolve the issue. Typically, credit card holders are not responsible for any fraudulent charges.

Billing & Payment

What types of payment do you accept?

On the website we accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Please call our Customer Service Department at 888-632-3552 or email if you have any questions. Customers shopping in the store have additional payment options. Call or come in for details.

Credit card orders can be placed online using our secure server or over the phone with our Customer Service Department. For purchases over $1,000 we use Veratad Technologies for further verification. It asks 4 simple questions, pulled from Public Records, to verify identity and protect you from fraudulent charges.

Many customers purchasing items valued over $1,000 prefer paying by bank wire. Bank wire orders receive a 2% discount from our listed price. We must receive confirmation from our bank that a wire transfer has been completed before items can be shipped. To learn more about paying by bank wire, please contact us.

When will my credit card be charged?

We’ll first authorize your credit card to make sure there is sufficient credit available at the time of purchase. A hold will be placed on your card for an amount equal to your order, until your order has shipped. Special order products will be charged when the order is accepted.

Will I receive a discount if I pay by bank wire?

Yes. A bank wire can be used to pay for purchases. Bella Cosa Jewelers applies a 2% discount to your order when you use a bank wire. Please Note: Some financial institutions charge a fee for using a bank wire.

Please contact us and we will provide the necessary account information to successfully transfer funds from your account into a Bella Cosa account.

A bank wire may take the bank up to two business days to process, so we will keep your order here for those two business days. Once your bank has transferred the funds, Bella Cosa will be notified and your purchase will be shipped.

If you have any questions about the steps involved in a bank wire, contact your bank or call Bella Cosa Jewelers Customer Service at 888-632-3552.

My order didn't go through but you have taken money from my account.

If your order has failed but it appears that the money has already been taken from your account you may be experiencing a "amount pending".

When placing an online order, your bank immediately puts a hold on the funds for us to capture during order processing. During order processing, if the information provided during checkout does not match the information on the credit card being used, the funds captured will be denied and the order will not be processed. When the transaction fails we do not receive the money. Since the transaction failed, this amount will not be taken from your account and will be reset by your bank or card issuer. 

Your bank may hold the funds as unavailable until the authorization/hold expires. This hold will typically drop off in 3-5 business days. Please contact your bank if you have any further questions regarding fund holds.

How do I track my order?

When the order is placed a confirmation email will be sent to you. You will receive an additional email when the item(s) is shipped and your credit card is charged. This email will contain a tracking number so you can follow your package.

When will my order ship?

We ship all orders via United States Postal Service. Orders placed before 12:00 p.m. (Central), Monday through Friday, will be shipped the same business day. After 12:00 p.m. (Central) orders are subject to be shipped the following business day. Orders placed after 5 pm on Fridays will be shipped the following Monday. How do I determine shipping charges?

Bella Cosa Jewelers offers FREE US Postal Service First Class mail. All orders are shipped insured at no additional cost to you. It will usually arrive within 3 to 5 business days. Expedited shipping is available via US Postal Service Priority Mail for an additional $9.95 or Express Mail for an additional $19.95. Can I return or exchange my purchases?

To insure your complete satisfaction with Bella Cosa Jewelers, we will exchange or return any item purchased on our website. Your online purchase may be returned to our store or returned by mail. Articles in original condition (except for special order items) may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase date (shown on sales receipt). Refunds are issued only to the purchaser in accordance with the original method of payment.

After initiating a Return, you will receive a confirmation email. Special order items may not be returned or exchanged. A special order constitutes any item ordered, custom made, engraved or altered at the customer’s request. For complete Shipping & Returns, click here.

When will I receive a refund for my return?

It has been five days and I haven't received my order yet.

Please note that for all first clarss free shipping, the expected delivery time is 3 - 5 business days. Orders placed after 5 pm on Fridays will be shipped the following Monday. Under most circumstances, order will be delivered on time. However, there might be unexpected delays due to circumstances beyond our control. If you haven't received your order in five business days, please contact us and we will help you to resolve the problem.

Will my order arrive in time for Christmas?

Our 2016 holiday shipping cutoff dates (based on shipping method) for Expected Delivery by December 24 are as follows:

USPS Priority Mail®: Place your order by 12/20/2016 before 3 pm CST for delivery by 12/24/2016
USPS Priority Express®: Place your order by 12/23/2016 before 3 pm CST for delivery by 12/24/2016

Please note that we are not responsible for delays beyond our control due to severe weather, natural disasters, etc. We can accommodate most rush orders or expedited delivery requests within the United States. Do the 18K white gold rings turn yellow over time?

Yes, to some extent. Since 18K white gold is actually 75% pure yellow gold, the jewelry must be rhodium plated. Rhodium plating is standard for all white gold jewelry and gives the item a pure white brilliance and luster. In time, however, the plating tends to wear thin, showing the natural color of the white gold beneath. Vigorous cleaning of the ring (such as with a toothbrush) can accelerate the process. Bella Cosa Jewelers offers free rhodium plating on all white gold jewelry purchased from us.

Do you offer free jewelry clean?

Yes we do! Whether you purchased your jewelry from us or not, you are more than welcome to have your jewelry inspected and cleaned FREE of charge. Moreover, if you purchased you pieces from Bella Cosa Jewelers, we will polish your jewelry for FREE, up to one time per year, for as long as you own it. A maintenance polish will give your piece of jewelry that new look!

How often should I have my jewelry checked and cleaned?

We recommend everyone to have your jewelry inspected every 6 months to catch any loose prongs, worn mountings, and general wear and tear. Of course, we do not charge for basic jewelry clean and inspection.

What are conflict-free diamonds?

Conflict-free diamonds are gems that were not obtained due to human rights abuses, child labor, violence, or environmental degradation.

At Bella Cosa Jewelers, we take careful steps to insure that we only carry conflict-free diamonds. We only purchase polished diamonds from professional members of the diamond trade who have certified that their diamonds are conflict-free. When you shop at Bella Cosa Jewelers, you can be certain that your diamonds are coming from the most reputable sources.

The four C's - Carat (size), Color, Clarity and Cut - are the industry grade standard from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). Every diamond is specifically graded on these features.

Do you close for holidays?

Yes, but not many! Our Willowbrook store is closed in observance of the following holidays: Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.
